Speak up

In SYNC with Jesus Christ, you are on a life-giving mission. "The power of life and death are in the tongue" (Prov. 18.21), so get your tongue involved in carrying out your mission.
During Freedom Season, you are concentrating on the freedom-giving part of your mission. You have the rhythm of freedom on your mind because you have been listening for it, applauding it, and dancing to it, so let it out. "The mouth speaks what the heart is full of" (Mt. 12.34)

Speak up

In SYNC with Jesus Christ, you are on a life-giving mission. "The power of life and death are in the tongue" (Prov. 18.21), so get your tongue involved in carrying out your mission.
During Grit Season, you are concentrating on the encouraging and helping those who are suffering as they do their share in God's mission. You have the rhythm of "grit" (courage and endurance) on your mind because you have been listening for it, applauding it, and dancing to it, so let it out. "The mouth speaks what the heart is full of" (Mt. 12.34)
When not to speak up

Always speak up to fellow believers who are going through suffering. Find a way to let them know you are noticing, praying, and doing whatever you can to encourage them. But do not worry about speaking up for yourself when it is your turn to suffer.

Especially during Grit Season, be careful not to lash out at anyone. There IS a time to protest, but there is also a time not to. It depends whether God has chosen for you to go through this particular suffering or not. For example, Jesus endured his trial as silent as "a sheep before its shearers" (Is. 53.7) That was a time to keep quiet so that God's purposes could be carried out.
