SYNC will not work for you if you void the terms of the warranty, which are the terms Jesus set:
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. (Jn. 8.24, NLT)
Under those terms, you are the one who needs to change. You change to SYNC with Jesus, his rhythm, his plan for a perfect world. Unfortunately his plan for a perfect world is not going to SYNC with some key points in the plan you desire for your own life.
I'm not saying your desires are all wicked and your plan is terrible. I'm just saying that you are in charge of your plan, and if you are in charge, he is not. You are telling him that when it comes to your affairs, he is not the king. You are. You do not trust him enough to say, "SYNC me."
If you try to use SYNC as a way to help create the life you have in mind, you violate Jesus' terms because you are trying to get him to SYNC with you. That desire is the human default setting, and that is what you have to reset in order to get SYNC to work. His way, not your way. If that sounds very risky, you heard it right.
