Power Verses
Seven verses that give you a feel for the Power Rhythm

Here is what we call the "Power Promise" of Jesus. It sets the tempo of the Power Rhythm.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.  Acts 1.8

That is the first verse in the set of seven "Power Verses" below. They are snippets from all over the Bible that get you started on seeing that the God of the Bible is an empowering God who wants heaven's power to break evil's power on earth. We get in on that through the Holy Spirit, who makes the power of Jesus available to us.

God's power rhythm is not monotonous. It is complex and vibrant. It keeps surprising us with new things we did not realize God could do, at least not through us. Fortunately we can love the rhythm long before we figure it all out. We simply move with the parts we understand.
